mog/101 wheels....

OK, never been in here before, military vehicles eh!
Im in need soon for some realistic wheels to fit a mog axle.
Now Im reliably informed that they are 6 stud, (6 on 205mm) whatever that means, and that its the same stud pattern as a 101, and also a lor of military/plant/agri machinery.
By realistic wheels, Im looking at mebbe 16"(not 20) and fairly wide as well.
Hopefully someone will have the answers Im looking for.
Rolla.

Yes, 101 / Mog wheels are generally interchangeable. You may want to see if anybody in the 101 club has changed to Mog wheels and is selling their old wheels.

a word of warning with the 16" 101 rims the offset and the smaller diameter wheels catch on the drum/casing of the portal box on some of the newer copys wheels
and mog rims also come in 18" sizes

the centre hole on a 101 wheel is smaller than on a mog wheel too, so I doubt they'd fit on a mog axle, these, ebay item number 270192160439 (nowt to do with me by the way), might though.

Im hoping to be junking the M A S S I V E drums, and bunging a disk conversion on there, so more room for a smaller wheel.
Honestly, for anyone who has never removed a mog brake drum, they are the biggest thing!
Anyone know if Im right thinking the stud fitting is called 6 on 205mm?

I can confirm that the rims on ebay will fit onto the mog hubs (actually tried on my mog) but the lip on the back edge of the drum and also the lip on the back of the portal box will catch. Nothing that a grinder wont put right.
Tristan, having three sets of rims, thats just plain greedy

They are ......erm.....a trifle heavy arent they.......
I fetched 3 back from holland, loaded em with a mini digger, thought we could hump em off......NO
fetched the engine hoist from work, strapped em on, and lifted em clear, until engine hoist let go and dumped em on the floor(500 kg rated at that reach, but we were humping the hoist round to get em into the workshop)
At that point, they were rolling, and we managed to get em in(well, 2 of em, the rear is still outside)

got the wheels now like chris says would catch on the rear of drum but like you im going disks all round should fit 900x16 or at a push 35/10.5/16
ive priced up the fedimas in both sizes at £130-145 per tyre
