Err, reliable I think, economy not bad, slow as a clockwork house.

Good tow-car though.

had a new one in 96 or 97 i think, it was when they first come out (good old days) anyhow, it was a great bit of kit, i towed alsorts withit, and never had a problem. (never kept them longer than about 9 or 10 months though!)
I wouldnt be buying any p38 now though, to many issues with them aspecially as they are getting a few years and miles under there belts.
repairs are still very expensive, and they seem to be constantly needing them.
ive been dying to buy a few of the late p 38's for a while now,(look like megga value for money), but my LR man keeps makin sure i dont! will have to stick with the 110.
have seen a few new shape now for sub 15K.

I have the DHSE Auto and love it.

Yes it's not the fastest but more than enough if you don't want points on your licence.

I am not a fan of BMW but as I see it Land Rover and BMW engineering can't be a bad combination?
P38 Range Rover (BMW !!!)
Off Road camping Trailer - SA Design
And a boat - if you can call QM2 a boat?
