Just goes to prove a point I suppose.

Understand your frustrations guys - it's difficult to be a mod on a forum, but if posts are to be removed / deleted / edited ......... any Mod should courteous enough to send a PM and explain, WHY.

The member then SHOULD accept that the Mod is acting in the best interests of this club and accept it, without it degenerating into a private PM war.

I'm afraid (imo) a number of Mods treat the role like they're manning some kind of cycber-machine gun nest - and their sole responsibility is to shoot down as many posts as they can.

Perhaps Admin could look to re-inforce the "PM with every moderation" rule?

I would disagree
From the forum index
"The Bar - General chat and random discussion"

I have no problems with posts that get people thinking and talking.

What I do object (and was the subject of my deleted post this morning) is the insulting comments made about people who have strong opinions by the minority of people on this forum who, to be frank, coulnt form a coherant train of thought if their life depended on it and so resort to insults .

Post ...discuss ...argue ...but dont insult.

To the person that posted a play on another users name (and bypassed the word filter) please consider this.

"A wise man has something to say. A fool has to say something"
"A wise man has something to say a fool has to say something"
"Think of it as evolution in action" and yes, I do know that I can't spell thank you.

As one of the offending parties in one of the topics, and having now cooled off, I can perfectly understand why the post(s) were removed. Like it or not, the admins decide how the forum is run, and the moderators are here to enforce the rules set by said admins.

I would like my comments to be read by the general public, but I have to abide by the rules set. If I don't like the decission, I have a very easy solution: pack my stuff and go somewhere else. If I want to stay, I shall have to follow the rules. End of.

Wolfie, you did what you thought was best, and I for one, do not bear any grudge against your decission, let alone against you.

In the good old days a PM always went out if moderation had taken place, But then again in the good old days most of us all knew each other personally, The club has become very big and most Mods have stopped PM'ing people as they are fed up with having to justify there actions or didn't like the insulting PM's they received in return, There is no hard and fast rule that a mod *must* PM you after moderation.

If anyone has a problem with the actions of a moderator, or feels hard done by because of there actions please PM one of the Admins and it will be looked into.

Can we all please respect the actions of the moderation team and be nice to each other.
Paul Wright
