Wonder what the maximum you can squeeze from a Rover V8 with a supercharger is? Just thinking you can apparently get close to a 1000bhp from a Nissan Skyline GTR (2.6 straight six, twin turbos) so a 5L supercharged V8 should be able to get much the same without the GTRs' habit of melting...

Interesting - have you tried one of the made-to-measure exhaust builders? This is strictly a thought experiment for me (unless I get a non-faulty lottery ticket) at the moment. There is something rather neat about the idea of what appears to be an inoffensive early Disco from the outside but is hiding enough power to make a Cayenne look like it's going backwards...
