Tyre envy!
« on: December 05, 2007, 12:21:16 »
Had the pleasure of parking next to a merc ml gangster mobile last night, dwarfed it i did, well happy. 8)

However when i got out i looked at it's tyres and they looked super wide next to mine yet on closer inspection were only 255's compared to my 10.50's.

How come? I know mine are a lot taller profile but being at's at the moment they are fairly square walled not like my old mt's.

So is it all in my head or what?

Were they low profile? That can make tyres look wider.

very ghay,  why do people take offroad vehicles and put low profiles on them?  i'd rather spend the money on a car that suited low profiles, or at least put some 33's on the offroader   :D

I've never understood why they keep trying to make 4x4s that behave like sports cars. If you want something fast on road then something with plenty of ground clearance and a heavy construction isn't the best place to start. In the same vein, I don't see a Skyline being terribly effective for greenlaning...

you can tell when people want to pretend to be offroaders, as they have a 4x4 with road wheels and tyres. it makes them crap onroad and crap offroad... great!
