Does anybody out there know if a gearbox (LT77) from a petrol or TDi will fit straight onto a 2.5 VM, apart from possibly a bellhousing change. Is the input shaft clutch etc. the same?

I have been told that the box from a tdi is the same as the vm box

You just need to change the bell housing

Do not know about the v8 one

hope this helps

V8 very different but AFAIK the TDi goes into a V&M built car.
