run the tank almost empty then drain the rest out of the drain plug in the bottom.the tank will now only need to support its own weight, so shouldn't go anywhere...make sure you re-fit the drain plug before you fit the tank guard, in case it covers it up!
Did mine also on my own a bit fiddly but ok.Used a trolley jack as said but i think i remember wedging tank with some wood through anti roll bar brackets or something as it wanted to drop.
this does sound like a plan to me mate......... thanks for the advice guys..... will come in handy when we get to starting. the guard has been in my front room for a couple of weeks now and viks is getting annoyed at stubbing her toe on it :oops: :oops: :oops:
