HWMO (He Who Must Obey) cold cuts, homemade chips and homemad pickles on Boxing Day!

Kids ............ anything containing sugar and requiring extensive brushing!

A few bottles of Christmas ale (to include Wychwood Bah Humbug, Sheaperd Neames Christmas Ale and others), no TV, an open fire and moments to reflect.

The fire is the one thing I miss at Christmas, oh and the missus *cough*. Always go back to Manchester to spend it with my family and catch up with my mates, and she never wants to come with me. And the nearest I get to a roaring fire is one powered by British Gas. Ah well, can't have it all!

2 weeks off work, most of them drunk infront of the open fire! (although this year we are off to see SWMBO`s mum n dad (the outlaws) in Greece... so drunk on the beach, infront of roaring waves most likely.....

but most of all, 2 weeks off work!

Unwinding (getting pi$$ed) xmas eve, if it aint  been done or bought...................to late

delaying the hangover with cava and cranberry juice before dinner, a few beers to get rid of the taste of the aformentioned, slurring "do you want me to do anything" while wife fights turkey, wine with dinner, just to prove im not common, couple of beers to get rid of the taste of wine.
A nice brandy to accompany the pudding and brandy butter, a few beers to get rid of the taste of the brandy, port and cheese/ grapes, a few beers to get rid of the taste of the port.
I dont really know what happens after that.

I have several bottles of 'Badgers Golden Glory' in the fridge, followed by roast pig & cow, many veg, chrismas pud/custard. Then being winched into armchair (unable to bend body) for festive TV treats 'till sleep is induced by fermenting products in stomach (sprouts).  :D  :D  :D

The very best part of Christmas for me is watching my daughter unwrap her presents.
After that I have to go cook the dinner, with a bottle of wine & a couple of cans.
After dinner it's total collapse on the settee and every so often go and pick on the leftovers

I love Christmas day!!

Like LSP and Boggert, a huge roaring open fire...
Bailleys on ice and mince pies with double cream, whilst watching my boys play with their pressies (including hubby!)   :whothedaddy:

All of us curled up on the settee infront of aforementioned roaring fire watching Christmas film.   :)

Early congratulations, make sure you introduce him/her when he/she puts in an appearance!

I'm in the same position, due early March, so my Tequila Sunrise isn't really an option this year.

However, the sight of RRB sprawled out on the settee, giggling, after a sniff of the barmaid's apron is something to behold!
