Hi mate and Merry Christmas, :D  I run my 98 Fourtrak on a 60/40 mix (40% svo oil) and she runs just fine, even a bit smother if anything, smells a bit though!  It’s done 139,000m and I have been running it on oil for the last 10 months/10,000m with no problems, just takes a little longer to start and runs a bit rough for the first couple of minuets on cold mornings, then she’s good as gold, but when it’s very cold this time of year I just use a 20% mix, hope this helps.

Chris. :D

hi mate

thanks for the reply only just read it,took the plunge last week and topped up the tank with a few litres as you say no problems, going to increase the ratio a little bit, have you carried out any additional serviceing due to the veg oil?

No extra serviceing, just changed the fuel filter after the first couple of tanks with oil in, then just usual oil changes etc. and she runs just fine.
