Rear door central locking not working...
« on: December 31, 2007, 12:31:47 »
After a bit of off-roading and some wading yesterday, my rear door central locking does not work any more.

Anyone else experienced this?  Where's the best place to start looking?  Vehicle electrics are not my strong point!

Spring not come off/bust?

Do you have any noise from the doors at all, sounf of a solenoid actuating? If not, I'd say earth the door, see if that fixes it, if not door apart, check connections and then see if the lock/unlock pulses are arriving at the motor. Its possible the harness has gone in the hinge.
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.
