How acceptable to right thinking members of society are tinted windows?

Specifically blue tints on a blue vehicle?

I'd say it all depends on how dark the tint is - obviously don't touch the windscreen or front side windows. A working 4x4 (by this I mean one that does go off road) isn't really gangsta material anyway so it might well turn out as a neat subversion of the chromed over-shiny blingmobiles!

we blacked out the back windows of my 109 cos we want to use it for camping in and stop the nosey neighbours seeing what we store in it...... no reason not to but as everyone says don't touch the front windows or the windscreen

Tis not a dark tint merely a blueish haze. Same stuff as Halfords sell. Used to have it on the back window of my pickup and that looked good save in certain light when it was more of a mirror.

Aren't mirror tints frowned upon now?
I can't keep up with Labour and their penchant for introducing as many new laws as possible in the shortest available time.
We saw a Galaxy in West Stow carpark on Boxing Day that was fully tinted black with a light tint windscreen. That had to be illegal, surely?

Blue tints on a blue car :-k

Well I have never seen this but thinking about why not :-. If you like the idea then go for it and be different :)

Post up a couple of pics when you have done the job as I for one would like to see the result. Good luck :D

Black tints look cool, plus they have a job too, they filter out a certain % of UV, good if you have babies or dogs in the car. And they are exceptionally easy to do on defenders, as they have flat windows, no double curves!
