i think the gearbox is longer for a disco than a defender, but if you have put a disco 200 in it what gearbow is on it anyhow?

i have this set up on my comp truck, luck for you its in bits atm so can take plenty of piccys for you  ;)
right
the bellhousing is longer on the disco box for a start, so you need to move the engine mounts roughly 5 inches forward IIRC ( which conveniantly puts the engine into the right place to fit a R380 gearbox at a later date ( which im doing now )
another issue is the gearstick is in the wrong place
its all very do-able, just alot of hassle
i fitted it for a reason tho

i've got some pics on the other computer, ill post them up later on for you  ;)

YOu'd have to change the input shaft at the very least to do that....
gone from 200tdi.... to 300tdi... still with loads done to it, in fact, even more than the last truck...LOL!!!

the lt77 box in the disco the gear selector is in a different place than the 90 so the gear stick is futher back.If it is a tdi i belive the gearbox mounts in the same place as 90 one does(change all the mounting brackets over from the 90 box to the disco box) if my memory serves me correct the input shaft is the same on all lt77 gearboxes expect the v8 one and it is only the selectors are different.

nope, input shafts are different
hence the disco bellhousing being 5 inch longer than a 90  ;)
thats why ive got a disco box in my 90, to push the engine forward 5 inches to allow me to keep the origional downpipe and get rid of the steve parker choker down pipe

nope,
you will have to mod the seatbox ( cut a section out)
mod the gearbox tunnel
mod floor panels slightly
make a new center access hatch
extend pipes ect ect

to paint a picture time wise
i removed engine
gearbox
floor ect ect
made new engine mounts
fitted new gearbox
modded seatbox anf floor ect ect
mated the engine up
tacked mounts into place , removed engine, welded properly
refitted engine
plumbed it all in, make new air system and zaust
all in 22 hours
on my own  ;)
it easily do able in a weekend, like i did  ;)
