another homemade snorkel fitted

just finished my homemade snorkel :) better still cost nothing but a welding rod. am going to fabricate top when i know what i want.

That looks neat - regarding tops, I have read that the round type tend to cut power while the scoop type (as supplied with Safari ones) tends to increase power as air is rammed into it.

 Nice neat job, far better than a lump of plastic sticking out of the wing.
 Reguarding tops. Round ones have a swirl effect, that tends to cut down on the crap sucked in, ram type, draw your own conclusions.

I use a round snorkel top on my home made jobbie. In the dealer catalogue it's described as a pre-cleaner top so as pete has pointed out, draw your own conclusions.

Brit part tops (round type) are on ebay for £18 from island 4x4 Thats what I used I didn't like the ram types I think yes their ramming air in but also water and dust  :? I mean they must have tested them but I just don't trust them.
