probably because its ICELAND! there are different markets around the world and different applications, which brings me on to my next point a discovery IS NOT better than a 110 if given the ground that a 110 is designed for. the only drawback a 110 has from a discovery is its break over angle....the approach and departire angles are far far better, the defenders have more suspension travel and bigger tyres so its better there too also, if there is an area of mud to cross over the 110 will have its wheels on harder ground for longer than a disco.
if discos were better than the 110 the army would use them fool! :scold:

arches are only added to keep the car legal on road with wider tyres, not for looks although they do look good, if the discos over iceland have got them standard you might find that they are fitted with wider tyres  :-k just a thought

look i prefer the 100" wheel base to the 110" and over the 94" i am bias in anywhich way, but the statement that you made where the 110 is better than the disco is untrue [-X. you shouldnt pay attention to "THEY" when it comes to something like that, find out for your self!
what is a landrover challenger anyway!?

Icelandic Discos DONT come with arches as standard.....never have either, they are fited by people that drive on fresh snow and over glaciers to cover the HUGE tyres they have to fit.
