defender/ 90 roof

Is the roof of a 90/ defender steel or ally? getting meself a cb mount thats all and would like a mag mount but if they aren't steel kinda goosed on that?
EXCESSIVE USE OF FOSSIL FUELS,
BEATS RIDING ABOUT ON BLOODY MULES!!
(AND DONKEYS DON'T PERFORM IN MUD EITHER)

your not goosed, just rivet on a steel square, loads have done it for aerials and magnetic recovery beacons......but to be honest a mag mount isnt entirelt successful when laning gets knocked off too easily,

Yea I wouldnt get a mag mount. Seen many of them get busted/fall off whilst off roading. Get a sprung one and bolt it onto a roof bar/rack (if you've got one), or if like me you dont mind drilling holes to much just mount it thru the roof  :lol:, think the sprung ones are about £12 on fleabay, mines been given a hell of a battering and never broken  :clap:

Best place is above rear door on a bracket and then run cable thro air vent
1998 Jeep Cherokee,3" rough country lift,31"Muds,front disconnects,and a custom snorkle..........just lovin it!!!

I can vouch for those, my CB twig is bent in several places but the mount is still solid.

Cheers guys, just ordered one, and a chrome stinger, and a rig mounting - mic holder, Oh and forgot about the CB I bought on Sunday  :dance:
