ADJUSTABLE A-FRAME JOINT ?

Going to removing the Self-Leveler unit from my CSW some time in the Summer and will be changing the A frame ball joint at same time.

Anyhow... any opinions on fitting one of these adjustable ball joints  or should I stick with a standard replacement?

Theses two appear to be the same unit  but one has an inflated price (least its exactly the same photo, but the x-eng one has been edited)

It is obviously a very similar photo - except the X-Eng one was taken by me personally!  It was edited to remove the background (my kitchen) but that's it.

The story behind the joints was that we realised that not all joints were alike, so bought one from every supplier we could find in the UK and abroad and measured the max offset angle.

We bought over 10 joints, 4 of which were adjustable and pretty identical in appearance.  However, the max offset ranged from a minimum of 17 degrees (same as a genuine joint) to 22.5 degrees.

What you are paying for in buying one from us is the leg-work.  Buy a Paddocks one - you might be lucky and have found the 22.5 degree joint, but you might get the 17 degree one?

These 10 joints are sold by dozens of different outlets - so the odds of picking the best one are not even as good as 1 in 4.

I'm sorry you feel they are over-priced.  We buy them in small quantities and just don't get the discounts of scale that bigger retailers can achieve.
