Mud Clubs' 5th Birthday
« on: January 16, 2008, 11:07:51 »
I just noticed MC will be 5 this year

Is there any plans for a Mud Club 5th birthday bash this year?

Would be a good opportunity to get members & suppliers together & raise some MC funds  :afro:

Im beginning to think my phone is bugged as I was just talking to a mate about it being 5 years since we had that small meeting (drinking session) in Longniddry (East Lothian, Scotland)  which bore the fruit of that is the beast Mud Club.... Special year deserves a special event..... volunteer me for anthing as long as Im not stuck on a rig somewhere....

I'm sure there will be [-o<

, the biggest consideration is time. I think we all need to remember that the MC "team" are not full time salaried staff but keen enthusiasts who do this because of their love of MUD and associated silliness.

I just wonder if member 10,000 will get a special "badge"?

Last year it wasn't done officially but we called the August Bank Holiday event at Billing offroad course a birthday bash of sorts, I've started to organise this event again for this coming August and hopefully it will be bigger and better this year.

Myself and my crew enjoyed last year and would defiantly be up for this year. We even enjoyed the strange game played by torchlight in the middle of the road that saw South Africa beating England.

We'll be up for it. Might even have something with a bit more ground clearance this time :)

Got a few nice gouges in the engine guard from last year ;)

Thanks for your interest in the August Bash.

I've got a few loose ends to tie up before I can make a formal announcement but things are progressing nicely.

As soon as I have got things sorted I will put a notice on the forum and you'll be able to book yourselves a place.
