Washed off the top of the 'Irish Ford' by the force and depth of water. I can also report that both drivers, luckily, escaped- wet but unharmed.

Last summer I was waiting to go through a flood, there were a group of lads pushing a supermini out of the water. As soon as they were clear someone else drove theirs in and got stuck. Mindless.

Last july was quite profetable, we even ended up doing B&B.More awkward though are the ones that push there car to the edge of the water, blocking off one lane and then abandon it.

I'd like to think that saying they decided to give you the money as a gift would keep you out of this problem but somehow I doubt it!

We were towing them through for free, but if they decline and don't make it then someone has to go wading around trying to find a towing point. If I we were doing it in 4x4s then obviously the good Samaritan image is more important, though farmers have a reputation to uphold.
classic pics - I know that ford as i used to work in rugby. never seen it like that.wonder what cars they are - maybe a competition is called for! at least those fools who thought that they could drive thru will give us something to do!
Buy one of these:http://www.ebrookes.co.uk/p/110347/Vehicle-Life-Hammer.htmlSWMBO got me one for xmas after pointing out that, if i ended up in a river "because of my driving..." then the electric windows will not work... the sunroofs wont open far enough, and water pressure means opening a door is very difficult... seatbelts also tend to lock if you land greasy bit up...Halfords (or "ripoff" as they seem to be known nowadays..) sell them with a nice little bracket for around a tenner.. its a no brainer really....also a good rescue tool... .....and the amount of car radios you can get is unbelieveable! [-X

it is like the ones in sporty cars who sit on your rear bumper
