Hi Guyz:
any idea on how to get the emissions down? the disco was very much warmed up: hot in fact! and still failed the garage (whicjh is a good one and gives no bull ~~~~! said they would have another go later in the week but think one of the cats has died and needs replacing about £300!
Any other thoughts? much appreciated:

Et a few bottles of forte gas treatment... put one in the tank fro a few days, then replace the fuel filter, putting some raw flush in with the new one... and the remainder in the tank.

May help a bit...

Change the engine oil too.

You can also effect the emision a bit with the screw in the back of the AFM.

Can you post a copy of the emmisions report?  The forte stuff is damn good gear, not easy to get though as forte say its not for retail sale.  Beware of ebay forte products, a forte rep told me its either fake or stolen! 

Cataclean is a damn good product as well, I have seen cars fail the test by a long way and pass after a dose of cataclean and forte gas treatment, oil change and a serious beating!

thanks for all your help will  try to get some of the "gunge" to sort it: your input is much appreciated will go to the garage hopefulloy at the weekend where its abandoned and let em read the posts (i am sure thay will understand em!

Will also see if i can get the emissions report as well once again guyz cheers: dont fancy paying £300 + for a cat (prefer dogs anyway!)

You could always try Flea Bay for S/H cats, both sides should be in one peice too.

i would try cataclean its dam good and saved me alot of money on my old rover i use it in my range and goes like stink after  for about 12 pound + vat what have you to lose  :-k
