Advice for a Friend
« on: January 21, 2008, 18:20:10 »
Hi guys and gals,

a friend of mine has a 1983 110 pick-up 3.5 V8 which runs on both Petrol and LPG. It is currently off the road with No MOT or Tax and he is looking o sell it so I thought I'd check out what he should be looking for?

Any ideas?
Regards,

Simon

300 quid mark, not really worth out with no test, tax is irrelevant.
if it was a csw then perhaps 6/700 quid,
condition also makes a difference, if its really good wich isnt imnpossible helps a lot, but if the chassis and bulkhead are finished then its 200 tops in my opinion.

its never worth less than £500 to someone who wants it, whatever state its in.

Its not a stage 3 V8 is it??? 1983 was the year the 110 came out but i think they still had the stage 3 till about 84. its jusst i cant remember many of the early 110's being V8s. as a stage 3 it might be worth a little more, although i see it as a negative.

So if he puts 12 months ticket on it what would he be looking for? It's in good nick as far as I know. Hasn't been used in about a year but was running fine before that. Only work needed to pass MOT is the wiper motors I think but never the less I'll let him know

Simon

stage 3? I know of stage 1, but not of the 2 or implied 3?

stage 1 was a lt95 gearbox on a v8 with permanint 4x4 unlike other series 3's.

i kno some of the 110's had the same set up to get low box and stuff as the series 3 and they would be crossover year about A reg. they also have slidy windos.
If it broke, I wasn't there.
