No Brakes
« on: January 22, 2008, 12:44:15 »
The brakes have gone on 94 m reg v8 disco.
The pedal is going all the way to the floor, but there is no visible brake fluid leaks from anywhere.
Any ideas ?

Master cylinder?

I'd have thought you'd see fuid otherwise. Or maybe the pedal linkage.
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

Possibly wheel bearings, or lift the carpet and check under that.

Are you loosing fluid at all?

Mine did this on Saturday. It turned out to be a caliper was sticking slightly and the brake fluid boiled at that wheel sending the pedal to the floor.Got a replacement let the fluid flow till it was clear and so not cooked bled up its been fine since.
