Disco2 Just doesn,t start (Mystery)
« on: January 23, 2008, 11:43:33 »
[-o< Went to the car one morning and it turned over fine but didnt start up. Ran great the day before.
I have changed the Crank Sensor, tested the fuel line, had it on a Rovacom (cheers Ricky), no faults that would stop it.
Checked the red plug on the ecu for oil (some(cleaned off)).
It feels like there is no fuel by injectors not opening, just like as if I ran out of fuel. The engine turns over but dosnt start up.
Swapped over relays and checked fuses in the engine compartment.
Cant test fuel pressure cus I dont have a guage but the fuel came out fast enough when I undid the line (14mm conn to engine) and turned the egnition on.

I am just running out of ideas. Can anybody point me in the right direction  :?

Not checked that but ten rovacom said the bcu was talking to the ecu ok and the imobaliser was off. Not checked that.Wouldnt know where to start. Any clues? Its like the ecu has been told not to run the injectors but they worked when the rovacom did them (didnt fire up).

not got wireless internet have you.
sounds silly but we did and if my d2 was parked on my driveway first it would not start (except if we pushed it back a few feet).  so from that day on it was always parked up in second place..lol

beleive me if our disco2 was parked by the house when we first had a bt home hub it would not start. its also a know problem with some of then when parked by shops. look on the web and your find out. Lr even did a replacement receiver for the alarm to overcome the problem.
if you have a bthome hub switch it off fully and then go a try... if its starts you either move the home hub (thats what i did) or replace the receiver.

 should have read your last post. it wont apply to you unless your lr is parked by someone elses who has a home hub.
