I am at a bit of a loss here as surely it has been offensive to jews in the uk for far longer?

why is suddenly offensive now?

I like the following ...

Quote
he judges criticised the stereotyping in the story of the unfortunate pigs: "Is it true that all builders are cowboys, builders get their work blown down, and builders are like pigs?"

I like the simple fact that the judges have failed to ask the slightly more reasonable question of "Do pigs build houses?"

Because the Jews are largely passive without an active extremist element that it is attempting to bring in Sharia law into Europe to convert all to Islam or by put to the sword as a kafir. Banning western customs and culture quirks  'because they might offend' are a start and are helped to come about by the leftist doctrine of the nannystate who's agents fall for it every time. They bend over backward to appease. The Jewish community will only speak up against a direct attack of blantant antisemitism, and quite rightly so, they don't go rioting about in the streets, burning flags and screaming death to the West.

I wasn't saying the jews would or should complain it just irks me that a judge has decided it might offend a certain group when other groups have a similar view regarding pork. it seems like the judges are creating issues where they do not exist just my opinion though

Sorry but I am ENGLISH, I have the views that if you are in another country you accept that your views are the MINORITY and the majority should not have to give up their lifestyle and cultural preferences to please you.

I am not racist but if I want to eat a bacon cob while reading 3 little pigs to my son, or Humpty Dumpty (obese and he dies) and watching Punch and Judy show (domestic violence)  Why shoud I be stopped by the PC brigade??

Sorry but it annoys me..........................

That's one of the cornerstones of the british engineering tradition, a brain storm fired by a breakfast of bacon and eggs :D

The really infuriating thing about it is that the PC Brigade is rarely made up of the people they say would be offended!

Last year I remember reading something where a group of Muslims apologised to a town because the council had re-named the Christmas festival, the Winter festival.

Mind you... on another soapbox... that at least brings it back towards it's original heritage of the pagan winter solstice celebration rather than a conveniently placed distraction to said festival in order to convert pagans to christianity.

**Climb's off soapbox**
