Has anyone in leeds got a driveway we can use please???

Hi

My friends car (corsa) needs an oil change...i've said i'll do it for her but i cant do it at our halls at uni...anyone in the leeds area got a driveway we could come and use, and a set of ramps we could borrow for the job???

yup,ive got a set of ramps,but no driveway but you are quite welcome to do it here as long as its not snowing and its during the daytime....no probs :D

I have both, so long as Ossett isn't too far, either during the week or Sunday (Sat not convenient)

bit of a rubbish uni if they wont let u change your engine oil! We have our own student garage with propper workshop ramps! Harper Adams all the way whayyyy. Why wont they let you use your car park area?

Probably find they have a rule of "no maintenance work to be carried out" so their car parks don't end up full of MOT-less wrecks being repaired. Also the H&S stuff - someone slips on oil and tries to sue the uni for example.

They may do, though whether they enforce it if your subtle and its just the odd oil change is another matter. Harper does objected to wrecks left in the car parks, though we had no problems the other summer changing a 90 fuel tank on a car park. Then again the had shut the student garage at that time so what did they expect.

Student garage? The most we got in Aber was a hillclimb course...

Ok, they called it the access road back up from the sports cage to the main campus road, but it was obviously designed as a hillclimb. You could barely walk up it!

Yup....i did the brake pads on my rangie in the car park and got a few funny looks....given the risk of making a mess with an oil change im not taking the risk!

i'll double check with my friend what day she's free and post back on here.
