Look at the damage caused by this 4X4 fitted with bull bars where it's smashed through the bollards and ramed the shutters on this shop

I think they'll find that it wasn't the 4x4 or the bull bars .... [-X

It was the coke'ed up theiving Nob driving it that caused the damage

I use my steering guard for that!

Re. ITV, just another media outlet pandering to London-centric prejudices. If criminals weren't able to get hold of 4x4s for ram raiding they'd just use lorries or (more likely) steal a van.

They did say at the end that most 4x4's ran on diesel  and were cleaner than equivilent petrol cars of similar cc and that the manufacturers are working hard to improve them more which is sort of good..

They ended saying they might one day ditch the chelsey tractor image .

I've never been there myself

Me neither

I've often thought that the stereotypical urban 4x4 driver would have a bit of a problem with the kind of vehicles we drive. They're something of a handful!

lets ban 4x4 so criminals cant steal them and use them for crime. Just like they did with guns.

Thats because most Police officers hardly ever drive 'Off Road'. I did the Police Off Road driving course in Norfolk and knew more than the instructor did. When I shifted to Hampshire and did my driving assesments, the instructor looked at my Disco and said "you obviously know what you are doing so I won't waste my time taking you out to test you".
While that was rather flattering, I was somewhat concerned. Surely it is not that difficult that difficult to master an 'Off Roader'.
Apparently for most offficers it is. The most common cause of faults on Plod Land Rovers, is knackered gear boxes, namely diff lock being left in and the car being driven down the road at speed
Having driven a Plod Terrano, I would rather have a Plod Defender any day. The Nissans may be more comfortable, but I trust the Landy.

I have a solution that is much more simple. Unfortunately, it is at the moment illegal.

'Police Camera' always strikes me as being a bit 'sensationalist', or is that just me?

I much prefer 'Traffic Cops','Road Wars', as they include input from the Officers involved.

Even the 'higher ranks' (Inspectors usually) have a word or two, & it's not even 'the party line' (or what I perceive to be so)
Or does that 'line' varies from force to force (or area to area)

What more can you say about police camera action, does my memory serve me correctly - did the presenter not loose his licence for drink driving a couple of years ago?

Also how often is he driving looking at the camera when presenting?
