maybe the regional reps could organise something for the different ends of the country :-k

If you have ever been you will know that the cars have to cross paths. Ie entry cars go up the field, exit cars come accross the bottom to exit. A car turned right into the show ground and couldnt clear the road due to exiting cars. Another young lad in his car came down the hill and hit the entering car side on and very nearly rolled the waiting car. nobody was hurt but police were called etc etc. Will try n find photos of damaged cars.

4x4 MARKET
Land Rover ~ Jap ~ Jeep
new/used parts, spares, accessories

Building on knowledge gained over 10 years organising major national 4x4 events, the time has come to launch a completely new event that has been waiting in the wings for some time - 4x4 Market.

Comprising a series of nine Sunday markets held each month from March to November, 4x4 Market features a large 4x4 autojumble area (approx. 80% Land Rover, 20% Jap 'n' Jeep), 4x4 and off-road trade stands, a 'Vehicles For Sale' Area and an optional reduced fee off-road course at every venue.

As all the family are welcome, additional non-4x4 related trade stands will be present together with displays and attractions, kids amusements, refreshments and free parking. Admission £5 adults, children (under 16 yrs) free. 8.30am – 4.00pm

CLUB STANDS:

Free Club Display Stands are available upon application (with as many display vehicles as you wish), but being a Sunday event as opposed to a full-blown 3-day 4x4 show, all persons staffing the pitch have to pay their £5 admission fee in the normal manner. Basically this entry fee pays for the venue! Children under 16 years old are still free of course.

The only other thing I ask is that clubs/groups ‘make an effort’ by displaying an information board, distribute flyers about the club or an event they are running or associated with (flyers distributed from within the confines of the pitch please – NOT the car park – been there, done it!) tell the world about their charitable works or assistance to the rescue services in times of disaster (flood, etc. – most apt at the moment) or whatever your club/group is all about. Displays incorporating hi-lift jacks/logs/axle-stands/etc. also encouraged; as long as they are safe, then no problem. The selling of club merchandise is also okay, but no new or used parts/accessories please - clubs/groups ‘tacking the Mick’ by ignoring this basic rule will simply be charged for an autojumble or trade pitch! Last but not least, the selling of food or drink from a Club Display Stand is not permitted.

Basically, a club/group may promote itself or its events as much as they like, that’s how we all get along in the wonderful world of off-roading! LAND ROVER, JAP OR JEEP, WE’RE ALL IN IT TOGETHER - LET’S BEAT THE MOANING ‘ANTIS’!!!

To book a Club Display Stand, simply contact myself Tom McGuigan via email or telephone.

Thank you.
