Coil on its way out?
« on: February 04, 2008, 18:52:13 »
Ok here goes when i fire up the disco (3.5efi v8) in the morning or anytime in the day were it has been left for a hour or so it runs great on lpg and petrol. but  and there always is a but after about 30 mins to an hours driving it starts to misfire on lpg switch back to petrol and it runs ok then bit further is starts to mis on petrol then it will not idle and die if i let it idle then wont start for about 5 mins. then it fires back into life and runs ok for a bit then it starts again. Me thinking its the coil starting to over heat and brake down. Does that sounds about right.
