Done it and spent twenty minutes browsing the site....

guess what not one bit slating 4x4 vehicles, not one campaign to close byways nothing anti us at all

So I really hope if people off here respond you take time to give sensible answers and dont go on a 'leave 4x4's alone rant' as that will do us no favours and give them no end of ammo.

They may have some members who are right Victor Meldrews and want all other users banned but they are not advocating that on the site... much the way as our sport has some complete ********** who insist on defying TRO's and tearing the place up giving us all a bad name.

Cheers Steve

In my comments I never once mentioned 4x4s just told them they should be considerate of other byways users and road users. I also told them walking 4 abreast and blocking the progress of vehicles is not acceptable when the vehicles pay to use the highways. A few other things too that I can't remember but I never referred to 4x4s at all  ;)

The ramblers website might not be slagging off 4x4,s,but you must admit that we can get some nasty looks from them when laning. The people that go around tearing the countryside up and not sticking to glass rules are the real culprits

Yep, Im sure 99% of people on here who reply to the survey will be constructive and honest, just a note to hopefully remind people not too simply go off on one in vendetta mode :) which would do us no good.

All my comments similarily revolved around respect for other users of byways as they are not the sole 'entitled group'

and yep, its the idiots in our hobby that cause the real issues but luckily enogh down this way Ive only ever encountered 2 problem 'Ramblers' the vast majority are friendly and polite.

Cheers Steve

done.

I just mentioned working together with horse riders 4x4 byway users to keep the countryside open and allow everyperson to view the wonderful views this country has to offer, and the only way some people can view the views for example disabled people isto work together in partnership to find ways in which this can be done.

I said a similar thing, but I was a lot more blunt about it.

Selfish and hypocrytical I think was the phrase.......

Oh they got both barrels from me .And as for there lottery grant ,why!
Money is a large part of thet so called group. What about the lets encourage the poor inner city folks to walk ,like thats gonna help them is'nt it.
Very cleverly put together really but then they have the money to waste on things like this .
I too enjoy walking as i would think that most people on here do and i also enjoy laning but i would try and change the laws to suit what i like and forget everyone else.
God i could rant all night,Ramblers my ass.

"improve relations and attitudes towards those who are also in the countryside, through work, leisure, or even sheer bad luck!"

i hav many a time be scowled at, or generally made to feel unwelcome, in particular on voluntary work for the council, ridiculous when i`m there helping to keep the countryside accissible an enjoyable FOR ALL!

held back from comments about red socks and brown shoulders..

It has been said that, given enough time, a million monkeys bashing at a million typewriters would eventually produce the complete works of Shakespeare. Thanks to the Saxo forums, we now know this to be wrong
