arb compressor in disco

anyone fitted an arb compressor to a disco
basically i want to know where best to mount it and where the air lines ran to supply the diffs.

In engine bay - top of arch in front of master cylinder....

i know lostboy has arb lockers fitted to his disco,dunno where he's got the pump though

I'm back - from outer space... (well Dunfermline actually, but it might as well be...)

I'd guess you've got it fitted by now but incase not...

My pump is fitted on the top of the nearside front wing towards the bulkhead, at a slight angle to aid getting the tyre hose on and off when it's needed. It can fit the otherside as well but I'm saving that space...

You could probably fit it in the second battery tray but I'm saving that space as well...

Have fun - lockers are THE BUSINESS - 5 inches of snow on the bypass, rear locker in and cruise past all the others in the slow lane  :twisted:

mines on my internal bulkhead laid on its side   - didnt want it under thebonnet as I didnt like the thought of it ingesting crap!

I've located on the brackets in the rear where the dicky seats used to mount. just needs a nice metal box round it now.
I didn't want it getting wet and covered in sh one t.
Its handy there since i'm making an alluminium recess in the rear quarter to house a quick release airline for doing my tyres.

I thought about putting it in there, it certainly would keep the crud away, but decided to put it under the bonnet in the end.

I thought about modifying the wiring, so that the compressor could be turned off but you could still use the remaining charge if needed, I seem to get about four engagements/disengagements before the compressor cuts in again. The thinking was the last thing you want is the compressor coming on when going through deep water and sucking it in, but you'd still be able to use the lockers... But then I realised without a snorkel I'm probably not going to be going through water deep enough for that to be a problem!
