is that the 'P' gasket?if so you dont need to remove the timing cover , as far as I remember.I did mine 3 yrs back only to find that it was the black plastic bung on the top of the thermostat housing weeping :oops:
Both h ours leaked here, loosening the water pump bolts sems to be the culprit.Stick this in, forget about it :D
The power steering version of the stuff will keep a leaky box going for a few more months in my experience - I did think it had cured the problem but the leak came back and got progressively worse until a new recon steering box was needed. I must point out that I don't know if that is the exact product used on mine. I asked a local specialist to take a look at it, he put the stuff in and handed me an old coffee jar of red oily goo (more of the same) to top it up with!
