BOLT SIZES FOR MOUNTING STEERING GUARD
« on: February 02, 2005, 16:45:59 »
Hello ,
I'm just in the process of mounting a rebel steering guard to the 90 - does anybody have an idea what size bolts i'll need for the rear two holes?
Also whats the best type of bolt to use material wise?

Cheers chaps

I don't know the guard, but usually they mount to the chassis using the bolts which hold the lashing eyes on..  M10 ish.

that's right but thats for the front two - i guess the lugs get junked - the two rear ones look like they mount through two tube like brackets a bit like where rock slideers fit on the chassis tubes

my stering guard mounts on the lower steering box bracket on the o/s
just re-use that bolt, and u need a 12mm by 3.5 inch bolt for the other side
the shinny blue defender with the winch, checker plate body protection, extra seating and windows
and at this point I noticed the n/s air vent wasnt fully closed so lets not forget the mud stained interior and the water logged kenwood 6disc cd
