Its about again! Ali has a collection of it (Bunnie)
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

I only ever see Meccano in the stupid little sets that make one or two models (usually that look like alians).  I used to have loads of it, my dad was trying to collect me the set 10 but we never quite finished it.

Cranes and trucks usually for me, or once I built a railway with it.
Blue,  1988  Range Rover 3.5 EFi with plenty of toys bolted on
Chuggaboom, 1995 Range Rover Classic
1995 Range Rover Classic Vogue LSE with 5 big sticks of Blackpool rock under the bonnet.

The current stuff doen't look nearly as good as proper Meccano  http://www.meccano.com/

But if you really want a set 10 of real meccano http://meccanoman.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=87_88&products_id=3101

Wish I had kept mine, but it was a victim of my downsizing. I also miss Spirograph.
