Saul folk and boat festival
« on: February 25, 2008, 18:49:56 »
Anyone heard of it? It is near Gloucester.

Well. I had a phone call from the managing director of the festival asking me whether I would like to be manager of the campsite.  Apparantly I was recommended by another volunteer.

I am honored and would love to do it but not sure if I could do a good job or not. He is sending me an email soon about what it involves in detail.

Got my big "I dont know" hat on now.  :-k

I know Saul, frampton, fretherne and arlingham very well.

The canal festival is a fairly big event with lots of different stuff going on all weekend, most of it on the canal itself.

I can't see anything in the way of an answer at the festival website http://www.junctionevents.org.uk/index.htm but haven't had too much of a look around as GPRS is just So Slow. There are about 400 volunteers needed to run the event.

Would probably only been worthwhile if you're into fishing. It was a tad damp last year.
