Earthquake linked to 4x4’s claim BBC
« on: February 28, 2008, 08:08:41 »
Scientists have shown that there may be a link between the recent earthquake in the UK and increased 4x4 ownership.

“4x4 and other large, especially desiel vehicles produce vibrations” said an expert “vibrations are energy and energy can not be created or destroyed” (Newtons law). Most people think that these vibrations just disappear, but they have to go somewhere.  Our theory is that these vibrations have been stored up below the earths crust, but now need to escape.”

4x4 ownership is on a record high in the UK and we have seen the biggest quake for 25 years. Those facts speak for themselves.  Electric cars produce much less vibration and also look cute.

This is rather like the hole in the ozone layer caused by the Aerosol spay paint (also used on 4x4’s sometimes) in that the hole focussed on one point in the Arctic. This focused around LInconshire so they are taking the brunt of this effect despite the fact that UK 4x4 ownership is most common in the Chelsea area of London.

Ken Livingstone said that if  he becomes mayor as opposed to that prat Boris, he will introduce a further higher charge of £25 for the most vibrating vehicles, although taxis and cars with over 7 seats or 7 chavvy kids in the back of a Sierra not wearing seatbelts will be exempt. “If rich show offs in 4x4 want to go around causing earthquakes they should pay” Said Ken.

I think that they have a point here.  if you perform a 2 inch lift, many people report vibtration from their transmissions, its gotta be that! ;)
