Hmmmmmm strange one

SWMBO was cut up on the A6 tonight near Barrow and after tooting to make her presence felt (In the Corsa) the showgun that cut her up followed her all the way home to our front door.

I ran out and found them sat in their car on the close near the arch into our driveway just looking at us, after a stear out they then speed off - got the reg of the vehicle.

Managed to park SWMBOs vehicle at work out the way for the weekend. Spoke with the local Plod too and theyve made a note of it on their system incase anything else crops up in the area with that vehicle..

Just find it a little strange that people behave like this!

Not strange, one thing I have learned is some people are nuts. I would be tending to do is keep an eye on your cars and house.

Luckly i can store the cars at work (On an MoD Site) so parked both of em up tonight, and just got my van on the drive...... also notified the neighbourhood watch, and apparnetly our local bobbies will sweep round tomorrow.

Luckly because of how our house is set out, you have to go under an arch to a parking area, so they couldnt exactly see which number we are, just which close were on....hence getting rid of the vehicles for the weekend.

What i would do is keep phoning the police to see what they will do about it.You should'nt have to put up with that.

Well as the local Plod said, as they didnt get out the car they didnt break any laws.... so hence they can only record it on there system so if something happens locally or with that vehicle there is a mark against them

It is frustrating, but what you don't know is that information is intel, and we tend to collect that!

hmm maybe in hindsight had your missus known she was followed, to drive to a supermarket car park or someplace public..

dunno what to suggest but i would imagine it being an un-nerving experience

worth having a pootle around you locality to see if u can spot it

Nooo it was nice and Shiney, gun metal grey 56 plate showgun....... fortunantly i was home and when she rung i was able to run straight out just in case.

Not to worried about...done all we can, no point in looking for them as we live on the main road between Loughborough and Leicester so they could be miles away

Sounds like a 'Still' wagon to me. Unofficial Law Enforcement Vocabulary Guidlines state that the term P*key is no longer acceptable. However they are 'still' p*keys, if you see what I mean.

Have you noticed its mostly women they prey on, my Mrs phoned me to tell me she was being followed, so I jumped in the 90 and caught up with her, it was 4 teenagers in a corsa all chavved up, they got the shock of their life when she lured them into McDonalds and parked up.  Then I followed them in with the tow rope ready to tow them into the nearest field.  Then one of the chavs piped up that Ive got loads of guns.... the rest of them assumed he meant in my 90!!!

Ive got plenty of guns but they have landed me in trouble before so im a good boy now!!!

It amazes me what people do.....for the sake of some road manners.

Luckly I work on a secure site so have been able to park the vehicle up safe all weekend......just makes you think about whos driving on the roads.

Have to admit tho, the local plod have been really good...our beat officer walked the close today which i've never seen.

I think most of us in rural areas have similar tales - I used to take great pride in the horrified expressions of reps who tried to continue tailgating an old Disco into the twisty bits. Best part is, flat out through there is still legal speeds! :lol:

Yeah right! I waited until they were next in our 'guest rooms' and told them that they would have to learn to drive before they could take on a Mini.
They then decided to wait until I was out on foot patrol, so I offered to take the numbers off and take them on one by one. Pair of spineless [unpleasent fellows]. Ran off and and made a complaint of Police harrasement! Funnily enough, both their houses got turned over under warrants the next week; I've got no idea why that happened. Couldn't do that sort of thing nowadays. Fight fire with more fire, thats my way of thinking. Unfortunately, that way of thinking isn't very popular with the Bosses these days. They'd much rather sit down in a yoga circle and have a glass of organic mineral water with the scumbags.
Crime problems? It could be solved in a month, if we were allowed to do it, but politics gets in the way.

I wish! Not me matey, just an ordinary Plod who is fed up with seeing this country going to the dogs. I'm all for rehabilitation of offenders as humans make mistakes and should be able to learn from them. Its those that think they have a given right to cause trouble and aggravation for the 'ordinary bod' on the street that get up my nose.
Give the bad guys a taste of their own medicine! They don't like it up 'em!
Stop teaching new Police recruits to be arty farty social workers who have extra skills in tie dyeing shirts, to become officers that can do the job effectively, bring the bad guys to Justice and win back the respect and trust from the Public that we have all but lost!

That's the best thing about driving a proper 4x4, I can just leave them in the middle of a ford.  Although funnily enough I don't get this happen very often, just once and he was showing off in front of his mates.
