can anyone tell me what is the difference from the new td5 bulkheads on sale to a 200tdi , paddocks say the tunnel needs slight modification?

i think you have to make the hole a bit bigger, but theres not much difference in it. i did one about 2 years ago, i remember messing about with the tunnel, just cannot remember what i had to do, but is was easy.

I've got mine sat waiting to be modded. It's not going to be a difficult job.

Careful what you pay. There are companies selling them at more than Land Rover retail, just because people don't know! Ask your local main dealer about part number AHA710460. I think you'll find they retail around £170 + VAT at the moment.

local main stealer were very iffy about selling a bulkhead , they wanted vin no and reg , when told it was retrofit to a 200tdi he said my boss says no and their on back order anyway.
i will phone the good parts guy later in the week and see how i get on

There were only 6 at Land Rover when I bought mine, so it is just possible they have all gone for now. The problem is that at some point LR will spot the pricing error and it will rocket up to the £800 or so of all the others.

ordered today at the main stealer what a difference when you get the main parts guy, not the lackie. £163 plus vat but they are on back order, they are cheap because they are thinner than the older ones and also they are not finished, ie they need seam sealer and  primer as well as paint
