Quote from: Boggert on March 08, 2008, 17:52:30but do you hear the public constantly complaining about the work they do, no you don'tApart from the fact we aren't allowed to walk the streets in uniform from fears of terrorist attacks, CND, Stop the war coalition, MK stop the war group, sheffieldagainst war.........How on earth can you say that boggert??We appreciate the work you lot do and also appreciate the **** you take, but we do too.Keep up the good work and stay safe.
but do you hear the public constantly complaining about the work they do, no you don't
Sorry but I think this is a pathetic post!We all have bad days; things don't always go right but there is no excuse for slagging people (a huge number of people at that) because of your bad day. They always say if you are in a bad mood you should save an Email in draft and look at it later; to not do that on an open Internet forum is just immature. To all the police on the forum - RespectTo all the armed forces on the forum - RespectTo all the bin men on the forum - RespectLets be honest; To anybody who earns an honest living and lives a decent life - Respect!!!Sorry but if you have a problem keep it to yourself.
And as for hoax's calls standard sentence =month inside teach them a lesson
my friend thought it would be funny to phone the police and say hes just been mugged by a white man with a skinhead and a gun driving a white escort
Myself and others on here work for the police :-$ but are not police officers or PCSO's and i understand this may be difficult to explain but until you listen to a police radio and hear the level of stress and abuse that todays officers have to deal with and ignore i find it very hard to believe that anyone would want to join the force
go around to a mothers house and tell them that there 10y old son/daughter was killed crossing the road and that they are not able to see the body or say goodbye because the lorry parked on there face and now they are unrecognizable could YOU pick pieces of a body up from a train line then go and inform the family of what happened i really don't think i could and especially not for the wages these PEOPLE are on
I've seen the results of RTI's of varying degrees (up to & including Scania parked on chest), suicide victims (hangings, mutilations), 'knock-downs (children & adults), drownings (& left in the water for a fortnight), fires (car & house), 'one unders' (low & high speed)
As an aside never got the concept of the response driver going through numerous prosecutions for testing his patrol car at 140mph......waste of money and stopping someone knowing how to properly use the tools of his jobThis country is FUBAR because of politicians IMHO
Hi Diggerdog. I see from your words, you must spend part of your day looking after me then. :)Dun "A" ring any bells. ??

I know ambulance and fire service do the same with their new kit.

[-Xnot long, but long enough to see the horrors of the IRA. I was in the RAF.What I meant to say was, You don’t hear people posting anti armed forces messages on this forum, and quiet rightly, The armed forces are doing a bloody marvellous job under crap conditions, but it seems so easy to come on line anonymously and slag off the police. I for one are fed up with it. If you have an issue with the police take it up with the police force in question, if you are not going to do that then button it.

As mentioned before, everyone should be accountable. If a legitimate test run is being done, then so be it.

But It really annoys me when they use blue lights to jump traffic lights, or just drive fast in built up areas just because they think they can. (obviously not including shouts!).

Those who do abuse the system should be dealt with, like that South Yorks guy who gave the 'thumbs up' to a speed camera. What a tool!
