Are you speaking form experience there?  I know I'm very unhappy at the way they settled RRRs claim, I'mplanning to move to Lancaster's this year with some of mine.

Adrian Flux and Sureterm Direct aren't interested - trouble is I want my 22 year old son on as a named driver
Despite BOTH of these companies advertising that they take drivers of any age they  wouldn't quote

NFU should sort you out as long as it doesn't have a roll cage

I plan to phone the NFU next week - they were closed today
I already have 3 motors insured with them , my rangie, a 200 tdi 90 that my son is already on as a named driver and a van - oh and my building and contents insurance too so they better be able to help !
Just trying to see if anyone else has insured a bobtail and who with just to hedge my bets
Thanks for suggestions so far - keep 'em coming !  ;)

If you are already with NFU then you stand a better chance, they can see your history and how much they stand to loose in premiums if you have to find a better company.

Long shot but try Haggerty Classics, but only if you have other cars (they only do limited miles policy on classics , but my SIII and Else are "classics" £400 for the pair!) . http://www.hagertyinsurance.co.uk/

Thanks, but you had better check your series lll is covered as they clearly state they don't insure cars used for off-road
Maybe you don't use your series off road but sadly this wont apply to the rangie !   :D

Just a quick update
Phoned NFU today while I was waiting on some hydraulic hoses being made up
A quick call to their underwriters and yes, no problem at all - no extra charge over a standard rangie !
Shame on you all you "specialist " insurance companies !

A few companies, NFU included will insure your landy for green lane use, non competitive off roading etc.
Because I have business use and my business takes me off road a lot then it is a fairly important requirement for me
I guess accidents can happen on green lanes too

Would be an interesting case as greenlanes by definition are legally public highways (we need to have tax, MOT & insurance)... Course... if a driving error sees you slide sideways into a river or some such you might have difficulties!
