Gearbox mountings
« on: March 18, 2008, 18:46:12 »
Hiya

Gearbox has been rattling on idle for ages now..

Looked at the bushes tonight, and there is a lot of play in them. The rubber is really soft and has seen better days.

Whats involved in changing them?
Undo bolts
Take wieght of box on jack
replace bushes
do bolts back up?

Or is it harder than that?

they look a bit of a cock to get out.

You said it ;)

IIRC you can get by with removing one rear mount completely from the chassis, levering teh thing sideways and fitting the other mount, but you do have to remove one or the other gearbox mounts.

Also,

does anyone know the correct part number for them?

ANR3200 ring any bells?
