hi i recently fited a rear axle off a disco1 to my 200tdi defender, the diff self destructed today :x i asume it would not be a prob to fit the diff off my old axle into it [-o< thanks Iain

As long as they are the same number of splines then the complete diff/carrier assemblies are interchanable.

Probably the planet wheel pin that has snapped, just take it out and have a look what is broken sometimes its easy to fix.

Yes the DI and 200TDi Defender are both metric diffs and would have the oil filler int he same places, both should be 10 spline, you'll soon notice if one is not :oops:
