Which tyres wear out first?
« on: March 18, 2008, 22:33:17 »
I have bought a set of part worn tyres for the Paj.
32"x11.5x15's
2 are very worn
2 are good
1 is great (new)

so, in summary

where should I put the very worn but useable and legal tyres?

The front ? or the back ?

I am planning to keep them on the Paj until Autumn when the weather should turn !
I will then buy a brand new one - to pair up with the new one I got - these will then replace the very worn tyres.
I will then have a "get me home" spare

Advice needed ASAP ! as I want to fit the tyres this weekend

Cheers

David

I believe its better to have the worn ones on the back, keep the good ones to do the steering

Because of their nature 4x4s should always have new tyres all round otherwise you'll get wind-up problems.

Having said that though I'd go with MuddyMachine and put the worn on the back but would only use 2WD and then change all the tyres as soon as possible
