For some reason, all the PC brigadists will pick on silly things like this, which probably have no malice involved.

As an example that springs to mind, I remind you of the Trafalgar celebrations, where the fleet where red and blue, because Spaniards could take offence. I did indeed take offence, not because of the celebration, but because of the petty mindedness of some idiots.

Why on earth should we (remember I am a Spaniard) take offence if Britons decide to commemorate what was one of the greatest feats of maritime warfare in history???

I find it offensive in the extreme that they (as in the PC activists) fuel and abeit stupid allegations coming from all corners. There are much more serious problems and examples of racism (for some reason, BNP keeps jumping to the front of my thought chain), and by picking on silly things like this all they achieve is to actually give the bigots more ammunition.

A couple of years ago, our local am-dram's christmas panto was changed from "Snow white and the seven dwarves" to "Snow white and the seven happy helpers" or some such tosh, in case it upset persons of restricted growth.
It made national headlines but it just goes to show that some people have got nothing better to do than sit on their fat behinds, thinking up ways to justify their jobs i.e. Head PC snooper in the "ban common sense" department.

The NHS Foundation Trust in Salford that I work for has just started an initiative which aims to fast-track Black and Minority Ethnic members of staff to Management positions. When I complained that this is positive discrimination, I was told that I am a racist. I asked if I could start a "Flag of St. George Society for White Heterosexual Men" within the Trust and again I was told that this group would exclude people because of their race, gender and sexual predisposition.


I honestly look forward to a revolution so that Brown, Blair and the others can be hung from Traitors gate

I would complain to the school board that this discriminates against the black minority (within the flock of mainly white sheep) by failing to recognise or refusing to acknowledge it's presence within society (the flock).

PC brigade are definitely creating their own jobs, maybe we should start telling;

 "There were 2 politically correct types who walked into a building, you'd think one of them would have seen it.  But then again they are as thick as ****"

im guessing that all schools do the same as my little girls came home singing it and i was horified that it has gone this far!

why do you get the feeling that the PC brigade all went ot 3rd class univs/colleges to do crappy psychology or sociology degrees at our expense.(Unlike some of us who had to work for our degrees)  Make them go out and get real jobs.

Yeh, thats whats in my girls school, the white boards that are linked up to the computer! they call it a white board, and seemingly my girls teacher doesn't like Black Boards, because they get her hands messy!

Perhaps more places need to take a leaf out of the catholic teaching principles? Its a catholic school that my girl attends, there are several kids from other nationalities including west indian and polish, and there are no issues in the school! It doesn't matter the names used for everyday items, its about respect for yourself and others! Thats what they teach in the school, which is one of the reasons we wanted our kid to go there, even though we are not catholic!
