engine mounts for 300 tdi
« on: March 21, 2008, 22:11:59 »
hi all, in the middle of converting my 2.5td with a 300tdi and was wondering if anyone knows of a place where i can buy the engine mounts for the chassis.  If it comes to the worst i can fabricate them, but would rather not have the welder out in the rain as i dont have a garage.

thanks

andy

You're going to have to cut them from an old chassis I reckon.

to be fair it does render the chassis a bit useless once you cut them off. what about speaking to some of the repro chassis manufacturers???

Get some angle iron mate and just cut/drill to size. Thats what i did instead of the proper ones which i cut off the original chassis. Much easier and stronger in my opinion. Did mine outside aswell in the frost (just stuck a sheet over the welder and made sure i was well insulated).
I love to get my landy down and dirty
