LWB Vitara Auto bodylift
« on: March 23, 2008, 00:12:33 »
Hi
im looking at a vitara v6 lwb as my new pride and joy. its standard at the minute but in time i want to start modding it, i will probably want to do a bodylfit at some point and have been looking at posts relating to this.
however they seem to be on manual boxes and will require the levers modding i know i had to do this on my sj.
so my question is can it be done with an autobox or do i not need to worry until i try and lift it,  say above 2 inches?
thanks
scott

i have done one on an auto lwb before.

you will be ok with the auto lever as its cable the t case one will still need modding though.

I gave my V6 auto a 2" bodylift last year without modifying the 2/4 wheel drive lever-only thing is it sits low and its a bit awkward to get it into 4wd low. You'll also need to keep an eye on all the breather pipes, the brake lines, petrol lines and the joint near the steering box.
