New Jeep owner
« on: March 24, 2008, 08:35:42 »
Hi all!

New owners of a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 and loving it (apart from the newly discovered faulty aircon system)!

It has been used as the proverbial Chelsea Tractor having come from London so I want to change that and learn the art of green laning and fording.

We live in Kent so have already signed up with KLASS. Hoping to get to a meet at some point.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

Not ashamed to admit I know nothing about offroading and I think greenlaning is probably going to be my limit for now as I don't want to make major mods to the Jeep - being that it is also my daily driver!

Soooooo - what can a Mk2 GC cope with in it's natural state? It had 4 new tyres fitted by the dealer - Kumho 768 Plus - which appear from various websites to be partial AT tyres.

I've viewed the various posts on here and KLASS and am I right in thinking greenlaning meets are fairly quiet at this time of the year due to the soft ground conditions?

James
