"That car can't possibly catch up with us"

Back then of course an S type jag could be had for a few hundred quid, how many times did we see them bite the dust in "the sweeney", especially if it was a white one (it became a running joke).

If you've watched the film, don't you think that having black glass to keep your identity secret is a bit damned obvious in a bright white car though

I think it was deliberate in the part of Callum's boss to drop him in the s**t.

Cool film though

"Phoo, no wonder they call you lonely"

Where I go it's the opposite.  It's Range Rovers that are parked up, with Series motors working.

If all the driving was done on the road then there is no way a RR of that era would ever catch a 'MK2' Jaguar..... sorry but it was not an S-type :? But you are right about them always being seen in programmes such as the Sweeney. The MK2 was the car of choice for villians as it was so darn quick, that is why many Police forces used them as traffic cars :D

Front end from the MkII but with different indicators and the back end of the MkX with IRS, better car than the MkII but not as well received, the back end looks too fat.  Trust me that's an 'S' type.
