Hmm never thought about that 4s4tyres only do 7j rims in steelies.
The usual advice given is this BUT please be aware that every truck is different and NOTHING is guaranteed.
If your truck has the winter pack, unlikely for a Shogun, it's 40mm higher than standard and MAY take 33x12.50 without a lift. Some do some rub. They would be ok on road but would definitely rub offroad.
With a 2" lift 33x12.50 will definitely fit BUT they may still rub slightly off road under heavy articulation - well as heavy as a shoguns articulation gets!! Most people have no problems whatsoever offroading with 33's and a 2" lift.
I have read, however, that the petrol model is higher than the diesels anyway - can anyone else confirm this?
33x12.50 tyres are a reccommended 8.5j rim but 8j is perfectly ok, They can be fitted to 7j rims although it's not reccommended. That said people do run them on 7j rims with no problems I personally would not.
The maximum tyre width reccommended for a 7j rim is 11.50.
Khumo do 31x11.50x15 - not sure about kl71's but the older ones the 71's replaced come in this size. West Coast Offroad centre has stocks of these.
Insa Turbo Sahara do 31x10.50x15 (remould) but with the agressive tread pattern they are a shade under 32"
Insa Turbo Special track do 265. can't remember the rest  they are 16" - new wheels needed - and with the agressive tread are about 32.5"
BFG do 33x11.50x15 and no doubt a few others but they are expensive.
All of the above are ok on 7j rims
If you really want the 33x12.50's you could do with 8" rims
www.silverline4x4.com do 8" and 10" wide steel rims in Jap stud patterns. Don't know the price but I've been told they are reasonalbe. Don't go for 10" without body AND suspension lift and even then you would have to trim body work and spats to stop them rubbing.
