OK guys, what's the correct ratio for my car?
I'm planning to replace it and I have access to one but I need to chck it's the correct ratio.

Somewhere around 1.2:1 IIRC, the 1.4:1 is the defender and the 1:1 is the 3 speed auto RRC.
I've got one for sale if you don't find one.

i got one off a 1990 3.5 carb'd disco, with a gearbox which doesnt have reverse :oops: :doh:

Thanks guys. It seems the one I was offered was the 1.4:1 version :(
I've decided I might be able to hold off for now... but if I change my mind, I'll give those with the right bits a shout!

1.4:1 is worth having if you have big tyres fitted, I thought about getting one myslef but I'm going to save up for 3.7 diffs instead.
