I've never had noise level checked at an mot..... it's all down to the testers ear if they even think of it..... i suspect it'd have to be 'silly loud' for you to have any issues.....
gone from 200tdi.... to 300tdi... still with loads done to it, in fact, even more than the last truck...LOL!!!

it all good saying that your back lights are bright enough, BUT YOU PAINTED OVER YOUR REFLECTERS, they're not on there for looks.  and a mot fail.
and did you waxoyl your hub? it looks like it! if you did there is a chance the wheel will move then the wheel nuts may come loose and the wheel will come off, that might be a good thing [-X just don't take a innocent family when it does.

First puddle will clog that or any mud will destroy that. Mate I'm pretty laid back but seriously dude, this is begining to look like a bad advertisment for halfrauds.

You have a lot of enthusiasm and you can weld, why not do more fabrication instead of bolt ons?

No disrespect is meant, it's just getting a little 'silly'

in the defence of it all. a snorkel is a valid investment on a V8, dizzy cap gets splashed, big deal 5 mins with a cloth. water sucked through the air intake bye bye engine.

Snorkels are a very good investment but if you put a k&n air filter on they are uselless, If you then put the k&n filter in a sealed box the k&n is pointless.

Exactly, how do you connect up a snorkel to a K&N??

If you have the proper air box with the K&N to fit that then fine, but with what Steve has fitted it makes no sense to fit a snorkel!

there was at least one Disco at Abingdon with a snorkel fitted with a k&n filter, when I say snorkel I mean drainpipe as that was the construction of the persons air intake :)  Made a right noise in my eye it being about head height from where I was at the time.

If you look at this, he has no airbox and just a K&N filter fitted. The question is how does he plan of fitting a snorkel to this? As you know a snorkel needs to be sealed to protect the engine! without the airbox and the snorkel connected to it and sealed its useless!
