Insurance
« on: April 22, 2008, 09:56:15 »
My insurance is coming round for renewal and I seem to be paying alot due to insuring the modifications on my Jimny!

Can anyone recommend an insurance company that specialises in modified offroaders or just one that people have found to be quite cheap so that I can get a better quote.

Steve.

I was insured through Roadsure with my SJ and they took all mods. Unfortunately they will not insure vehicles under 5 years old so they would not insure the Jimny,

I am currently with Adrian Flux for the Jimny, with all mods declared - there did not appear to be a premium for the mods - just a pedantic document to complete to list the mods - and you need to give the name of the "qualified" installer for the significant mods.

I'm with flux ... cost £550 for the year with breakdown cover but I'm 22 with 1 year no claims, 1 accident and 3 points ... they didn't charge anythign extra for mods.

Cheers I'll give that a try and see if the quotes any better.

Should be ok what with being 28, having full no claims and only 3 points.

Came out at about £550 fully comp with protected no claims and all the trimmings so I've gone with that as it saved me a couple of hundred, cheers to everyone that advised Adrian Flux.

Steve.
